I'm a web developer that enjoys photography and writing.

Currently, I'm employed in Denver, CO with a web development firm. I've been working there for about 2 years.

Much of my recent work has been done as an extension of this firm and will not be displayed here.

If you would like me to provide specific examples of my work, please contact me via my site's contact form.

Drupal

Drupal is a highly versatile content management system that allows a good PHP developer to do just about anything to a website.

I've been using Drupal for 2 years, and have twisted it into so many different things -- simple resume sites like this one, e-commerce subscription driven sites, insurance quote generators, file management systems... The list goes on.

JQuery

Dont't get me wrong -- I am a JavaScript guy. But this JavaScript library is another open-source framework that is aimed at making developers' lives better, and their work much cooler.

I started using this over 2 years ago. I've become quite proficient in using it to create cross-browser-compatible animated effects that range from simple drop down menus and banner animation to ajax-driven form submission and animated Drupal-populated lists.

I am also proficient at writing custom object-oriented javascript.

Object Oriented Programming

I've been writing Java on and off for over a year, and occasionally dabble with Flex.

Although Java is a powerful platform, I admit that it is limited in online application deployment.

However, the habits I've developed using the concepts presented in the language help me develop better in all languages -- keeping the concept of object-oriented code and extensibility at the forefront of the scripts I write.

Rock-solid PHP, HTML and CSS

PHP is as second-nature to me as HTML and CSS. I've been working with it for over 2 years now.

I first started writing it when I tried to develop a simple content management system when I was still in school. The result was a monthly online publication that I designed and helped manage. It's still online here.

It's not the prettiest site to ever hit the internet, but it won a few awards for the concept. I also wrote a few of the stories featured on the December, 2008 package, which was about AIDS.
