I built my first website in 1999 while in 8th grade, and in the same year built a simple game in Visual Basic.
I learned C++ in high school in two semester-long elective courses and maintained an interest in programming.
In high school I developed and implemented macros in Excel to help my dad's insurance office increase efficiency in searching spreadsheet data.
